SIXTH GRADE CURRICULUM (LANGUAGE ARTS)
This year we will be focused on reading class novels throughout the year. From these novels we will complete vocabulary, spelling, comprehension, writing, and note-taking activities. In addition, we will explore Ancient Civilizations all through the year. Below is a short guide as to what you can expect. We will read the vast majority of those books listed depending on time.

This year the district is implementing a new curriculum called Benchmark. We will be using that extensively on top of the novels as well. Occasionally, we will be using various online assessments and programs such as Kahoot!, Khan Academy, and Quizziz.
